Aks Plays EVE, Part 4: I can fly well.. sometimes!

This time I actually managed to fly rather well!

I didn't play that long since it's already late, but I decided to take a Kestrel out in the void and see what happens.

After some time of roaming through systems and making LP farmers shake in their boots with just my spooky presence, I managed to catch someone!

It was quick and easy fight, I managed to get outside of their gun range and orbit around them, scramkiting them. They couldn't hit me back and after a moment they went explodey.

I was checking d-scan constantly to find out if someone is nearby and there was a Malediction trying to hunt me down. They're also a small frigate, but much more agile than mine, so it was usually a bad time. So I dipped.

After some time jumping through the different FW complexes around the system (and escaping that Malediction), I found another victim: A cormorant that was sitting on the warpgate to the complex. Well, so I thought, they were 100km away. Instead, the Malediction jumps on me!

I warp inside the complex quickly and the Malediction did the same, right at the same time. So I had only very little time to react: I needed to warp scramble them ASAP or I would be toast. So I did just that as quickly as possible.. And success! Though they managed to escape from me for a moment. I don't know what happened, but I managed to catch them again..

I had to manually pilot around (double click in space) them, since if I had done automatic orbiting, my ship would have flown away from them. That was a good idea, since I managed to keep myself under their guns, while keeping them scrambled and webbed (they can't warp away nor move fast).

And bam!

Then their (presumably) friend appeared, a Coercer Navy Issue. I was a bit cocky and tried to fight that too, but they had very powerful capacitor neutralizer, so I found myself running out of juice really quick.. And couldn't fight back.

Ah well. My lil Kestrel went boom. But man, that was thrilling. One of those moments why I remember the reasons I play this game, one being the extremely thrilling fights, as long as you allow yourself to throw some of the caution in the wind and just go for it.
